007 aficionados fret no longer. Zavvi are offering Quantum of Solace on the Xbox 360 for only £11.95, in line with the game’s mediocre quality, meaning you can update your Bond collection without spending too much!
Zavvi's deal for Quantum of Solace is so cheap the price-comparison sites haven't even been notified of it yet! It's the best deal you can find for the game, and delivery is free, too. Averaging a 65/100 on MetaCritic, Quantum of Solace failed to impress critics, who've yet to see a Bond game match a Bond film since Rare's Goldeneye in 1995! However, the game did manage some mild success, earning a 90/100 from VideoGamer.
Following the film's plot closely, Quantum of Solace sees James Bond go rogue, as he attempts to uncover a secret organisation and avenge Eva Green's death in Casino Royale. Daniel Craig's face, and presumably tuxedo, were scanned for the game, and as a result his in-game character model is very impressive.
The majority of the game is spent in first-person, although some segments, such as when Bond takes cover behind upturned tables or pillars, revert to a third-person perspective to highlight the filmic qualities. Indeed, Quantum of Solace is very cinematic, utilising split-screen effects and picture-in-picture moments.
