Game's £27.99 deal for Just Cause 2 that I mentioned a couple of days ago was very short-lived but it's ok because now HMV have gone one better and are offering it for just £24.99. This undercuts the next best price for the XBox 360 version (£29.85 from Simply Games) by £5 and PS3 owners can make an even better saving as the next best price (£32 from Cool Shop).

Rico is on the South-east Asian island of Panau. Once an ally to the US, the nation has been taken over by dictator Baby Panay who severs the relationship and installs an oppressive regime. It's up to Rico to remove Panay from power as well as hunting down Tom Sheldon who appears to have gone rogue on the island.
Like the previous Just Cause title, the game offers you a sandbox world to traverse with free reign to pay the main narrative as much, or as little, attention as you wish. It's a genuinely massive world, so much so that it can get a little overwhelming and it's easy to lose track of time just zooming around from place to place, blowing the crap out of things and maybe doing the odd side quest or two if you can be bothered. Your boredom threshold for this sort of play may be the very thing that decides whether you will enjoy this game or not.
You do have to pay for the privilege of being given such a huge world to explore; combat is significantly marred by a broken targeting system and a complete lack of cover system and the game is hampered by a wide range of glitches.
Plenty of people swear by this game and despite its faults, it has a hell of a lot to offer, especially now you can nab it for less than £25.
