Just Cause 2 (Limited Edition) £31.46 @ Zavvi with JC10 Voucher [PS3 and Xbox 360 Games]

Just Cause 2 has been receiving a lot of critical attention and some excellent early reviews thanks to its unsubtle take on guerrilla warfare. If it lives, you can kill it. If it's combustible, you can blow it up. If it flies, you can grapple onto it, throw out the pilot and take it for a spin. And now you can preorder the limited edition for £3 less than the standard edition from Zavvi! The cheapest price for the standard edition is currently £34.71 at CoolShop.

Remember to use voucher code JC10!!

The original Just Cause attempted to revolutionise the sandbox genre by injecting it with high-octane action movie thrills, and it almost succeeded. Unfortunately, the samey mission objectives and frequent boring trudges through the tropical island stopped it from realising its potential. Luckily, its successor promises to ramp every aspect of the gameplay up to 11 with outrageous stunts, huge explosions and a massive beautifully realised environment that becomes a blank canvas for unbridled destruction.

The new improved grappling hook makes for limitless tactical options. If faced with a guard, you can use attach him to a low flying aeroplane, stick him to a oil can (and shoot it for some serious altitude) or use it to hijack an attack helicopter and use its guns to reduce him to a greasy smear on the landscape. Or, of course, you could just shoot him with your gun. I'm personally worried that the novelty of the freeform stunts will quickly wear off after realising that simply using a rifle or stealing  a helicopter is a lot easier in the long run (thus turning it into a fairly standard shooter), but hopefully the game will reward imaginative play. Keep an eye out for our review that'll be hitting next week!

The limited edition also comes with some exclusive bonuses including a stylish signature handgun and a mess of new vehicles. If you're planning on preordering Just Cause 2 then this is currently your best bet: why not net all the limited edition freebies and save yourself some money at the same time!

This also appears to be the cheapest way to get the PC version, bringing it down to £22.50.

Any idea how big the included map is? Apart from the hovercraft and map most of the LE extras are a little dull.
