Steam are once again proving themselves to be by far one of the most generous games distributors around. And if you own a PC and have not already gone onto their site to be totally spoiled with the likes of America’s Army 3 and Half-Life 2 deathmatch then I hate to break it to you: they’re all free!
However, even though not exactly free, this latest deal they are offering is still so good it makes you want to thank god for the day you choose to pursue your passion for games on the PC. Steam are offering a massive bundle pack of 20 PC game titles for just £35.99!
And far from being what Alan Sugar would describe as ‘a load of old toot’, some of these games are really superb and, all in all, clock up to a combined saving of £105.81. So get ready to be the envy of anyone you know who is stuck with a 360 as you’ll be getting you’re hands on the likes of Bioshock for practically a few quid.
This is probably one of the best games on the list and would normally set you back about about £10. So if you love first person shooters and have not heard about Bioshock then check out this post on Dealspwn where we told you a bit about why it’s so good…
But one other game which makes this deal even sweeter is Prey. This is another first person shooter, probably not quite as good as Bioshock, but still a decent addition to your FPS collection. It follows the story of a disillusioned Cherokee Indian called Tommy who, after craving an escape from his mundane life, becomes embroiled in a quest to save the world from an alien invasion. The game is a pretty standard FPS, but still, it has had some decent reviews and is perfect for fans of Doom and Quake.
So (to just to hammer it home!) you’re looking at over £100 pounds of savings for some really great titles. Although there’s probably a few not so exciting titles in there like ‘Railroad’ and ‘Railroad Tycoon 3’ – god knows what that one's like - just getting your hands on Prey and Bioshock for a little off £30 ain't half bad! So if you like good deals and own a PC then this one is definitely worth a look.
