If you can still manage to look at anything World Cup related at the moment, then you might want to check out this game, although the chance that it'll help to heal the recently opened, sore wounds isn't very likely.
Zavvi are letting you grab copies of the game on the Xbox 360 or PS3 for £24.85, which'll make you a saving of just over £6 on the Xbox and exactly £3 on the PS3.

Overcoming your opponents should come easily to Fifa fans, as the gameplay is pretty much identical to previous titles in the series. You can hold a match in any of the 10 world cup stadiums and have your pick of the 199 qualifying nations.
Whilst closeups of the players and the crowd aren't bad, everything is incredibly bland in comparison and both the pitch and stands look like they'd be more at home in a game that was released a couple of years.
You can take part in a number of game modes, including a welcome return from Captain Your Country, and a brand new mode that allows you to replay memorable qualifying matches from this year's World Cup and the finals from the 2006 World Cup.
There's some features that allow you to flex your managerial muscles too, in the forms of the adjustable pre-match options, and the statistical breakdown that you get once you've reached full time.
Unless you're completely football obsessed there's not much point in getting the game at the moment, because you'll just be wasting your money on something that's very disappointing.
