Take-Two Renews Agent Trademark

Remember Agent? That Rockstar-developed stealthy espionage game announced for PS3 back in 2007 that never went anywhere? All hope for a release is not lost, since the trademark has been reviewed for another few years (of crushing uncertainty).

As spotted by Siliconera, the filing covers "video games, computer games, online video games, and various printed materials such as manuals and guide books." The logo appears to be broadly unchanged, stating "the mark consists of the word “AGENT” with the shape of a handgun comprising the internal section of the letter “G”.”

Agent has all but become vapourware following the 2007 reveal, with practically no details sneaking out of the press cordon despite confirmation that it was still in active development in May 2011. Could Agent be targeting the PS4, perhaps?

Either way, I wouldn't necessarily get your hopes up just yet.

Do you mean 2K or Take Two?

Horses for courses, since 2K is Take-Two's game publishing label. However, for clarity's sake, I'll change the headline to avoid any further confusion.

It actually seemed a decent concept way back then - I wonder if they're planning to use it for something new or rehash what they'd already made.
