My Wii is permanently hungry for power. It goes through batteries faster than Pacman gets through dots and is a small hole in my wallet, gradually dribbling money that could be better spent on things like beer and toothpaste. There is an answer to this, though, and it comes in the form of rechargeable batteries. The 4Gamers Charging Dock works very simply: plug it into your Wii's USB port, plug the Wiimote packing a couple of AAA Ni-Mhs into the Dock and hey presto, it'll charge while you sleep.
The batteries aren't included, it'd be much more expensive if they were, but you can pick up a double pack for just a quid at Poundland so you'll be laughing really. You can ignore the RRP of £9.99 as you can pick up dual chargers for that price, but with most of the competition floating around the £5 mark, this is certainly a pretty good deal for the thrifty gamer.
To be honest, if you've only got one Wiimote then this should suit you fine. Those with more than one, though, might want to consider a larger charger such as the double one below. It's priced at £6.34, but it does come with two rechargeable Ni-Mh batteries.
Rechargeable batteries or packs are a must for any wireless controller these days, so it's well worth investing in a dock or two for your Wiimote. I speak from experience, the epic controller fail during an especially tense match of table tennis is enough to incite gaming rage in anyone!
