If we take yesterday and today's press releases as gospel, the recent hacking of 93,000 PSN accounts was not based on personal information from Sony. Which begs a more interesting question: where did the hackers get this info, then?
As far as I can see, there aren't many third party sites/sources that hold such a high volume of PSN ids. Maybe the leak could have come from a Gamercards provider that allows users to sign in with their PSN ids to update and access their accounts?
Maybe we can crack this. What do you reckon?
