The spectacularly bad Action Girlz Racing managed the incredible feat of scoring less than 1/10 when rated by IGN and has been unaniomously greeted with ridicule and derision. With that in mind, it almost feels worth splashing out the £4 Shop To are asking just to see if it can possibly be as bad as it seems. It's a good price, at least comparatively speaking; the next best deal is double the price at £9.95 (from My Memory).
The game styles itself as a paragon of "Girl Power" but unfortunately is an insult to the growing market of young girl gamers towards whom it is aimed and also likely to produce a generation of women who reinforce all the sexist jokes about female drivers.
Furthermore, Action Girlz is populated with a cast of cookie cutter characters, the only difference between them being their names and their clichéd appearances.
The gameplay is truly painful: the motion control is infuriatingly imprecise, the tracks designs are woeful and the programming is pretty much completely broken. The graphics are ugly and clunky and the game is riddled with framerate issues, glitches and bugs. The sound is equally unpleasant and uninspiring, punctuated with banshee caterwauling effects everytime you make one of those crashes that will be oh-so-frequent as you attempt to navigate the appalling tracks.
The poor Wii is beleagured with an awful lot of very bad games but few reach the dizzy heights that Action Girlz Racing soars to.
