We covered news of Alien Breed 3: Descent hitting the Playstation Network this week, and now it's time for those on Microsoft's side of the pitch to rejoice, as the entire Alien Breed Trilogy is coming to the Xbox 360. And instead of launching the bundle on LIVE, Team 17 Software is bringing it to store shelves with a special boxed collection.
You can expect to find the Alien Breed Trilogy on March the 18th, packing Evolution, Assault and Descent into one neat little Unreal Engine 3-powered package. The Alien Breed series first launched in 1991 on the Amiga, but original developers Team 17 Software decided to wait a few years - twenty, actually - before bringing it back for next-gen audiences.
The narrative follows Theodore Conrad, an engineer aboard the spaceship, Leopold. No, I'm not making that up. Conrad soon finds the ship is overrun with all manner of alien beasts and critters, and what follows is an all-out, action-packed, bullet-ridden romp across three fully-fledged adventures featuring surprisingly robust visuals for such a small title.
