Aliens: Colonial Marines Wii U To Launch Before The End Of March

Gearbox recently announced that Aliens: Colonial Marines had gone gold on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, but there was no mention of the Wii U version, with Nintendo's console seemingly left out in the cold.

Pah! said SEGA, responding to a query from Eurogamer, and saying that they had never announced the February 12th date for Wii U, before confirming that a Wii U version will be available at some point before the end of March 2013.

So that's that, then.

That's what's so great about gamers. So unendingly positive. Especially British ones.

That's what i love about these games you know they are awful just from the name no need to even look at a review!

Your right though maybe I should have bought the Rise of the Guardians for the wii u...

Except it's not exactly a movie tie-in. I agree completely that, yes, 90% of movie tie ins are awful, but this is a sequel to the movie; It's telling it's own story. And given how long it's been in development, and that it's gearbox who, excluding Duke Nukem, typically make solid games, I have hope.

It's probably more realistic to look at this more in the light of the Batman Arkham games than Rise of the Guardians. The developers are building on an existing universe and have been given free reign to tell the story they want, whereas with Rise of the Guardians, i'd imagine there force to tell a story similar to the films.

+1 for teddy!

A good number of games based on films that precede them by a fair amount of time have proven perfectly playable, if not rather excellent: GoldenEye, any LEGO game, The Warriors, the Godfather titles etc.

Moreover, I refer you all to this article for a number of film tie-ins that didn't suck: http://www.dealspwn.com/top-ten-tuesdays-movie-tieins-suck-69805

Oh man, Riddick and the LOTR games, loved them. The Star War Episode 3 game deserved a mention as well, loved that despite the fact it ruined half the movie since it came out weeks before the cinema release xD
