Collector's Editions are often nothing more than the original game dressed in a nice box, with a dubiously crafted figurine to gawp at. Pre-order incentives often just serve up a unique weapon, or a change of clothes for your character. Words like "lame" crop up fairly often.
But Amazon have secured a rather interesting pre-order incentive for the upcoming Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition, with all of their launch stock hand-signed by the developers at CD Projekt RED.
"All of [Amazon's] Xbox 360 launch stock (ie. the allocation Amazon have available to sell at launch) has been hand-signed by members of the CD Projekt development team!" announced a rather excited Namco Bandai spokesperson. "Over the last few days, they have found the time to pass thousands of inlays around the office but once the launch allocation is gone, it’s gone! Orders made after the launch allocation runs out won’t receive a signed copy."
No prints, no photocopies, no cop-outs. But it is rather limited, so you'd probably better get your skates on. Pre-order it at Amazon here.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - Enhanced Edition launches on Xbox 360 on April 17th. You can check out our Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition hands-on preview here, and we'll have the full review for you very soon indeed.
