Andy Gray Replaced For FIFA 12

Andy Gray is famous for his international football career and role in commenting the FIFA series alongside Martin Tyler... but is even better known for being sensationally fired from Sky Sports thanks to wildly inappropriate comments directed towards a female assistant ref. Rumours that EA would drop him from FIFA 12 have now been confirmed, with the publisher opting to hire former England player and Sky commentator Alan Smith in his stead.

EA has also confirmed that tournament matches will feature optional commentary from the ITV team (Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend), but that we can thankfully turn it off. The news that ITV commentary will feature in FIFA 12 is interesting... but the news that it's optional is priceless. [NowGamer]
