Arena Commander Gameplay | Jumping into the Battle Royale

Carl Phillips
Arena Commander, Cloud Imperium, Gameplay, PC games, Star Citizen

Star Citizen recently released a new patch that incorporated two new modes - a co-op version of the Vanduul Swarm, and a race type named the Murray Cup. The plan was to show off the gameplay of the co-op modes in action, but the ability to invite friends into matches was turned off at the time of recording. So, after a bit of trial and error, Carl and Jon managed to get into the same online match and sampled the dogfighting action of the Battle Royale mode. See why you probably won't want them on your wing by watching today's video.

Come on Roberts. Ninty krillion dollars and you still can't get someone to scrape together a server browser.

It is a bit confusing how the RSI website has better connectivity than the actual game. I might be mistaken, but I seem to remember how they aim to integrate the two together so there will be no need for friend codes. But yeah, a simple browser would be cool, although I see the reasons why they haven't gone that route.

In fairness, swimming around in a motion capture studio full of money is a full-time job. It's a wonder that the game plays and looks as great as it does! :P
