Screenshot Barrage Incoming!
Namco Bandai have confirmed that Armored Core: Verdict Day will be bringing all manner of mechanised rain to Europe this Autumn. As a direct sequel to Armored Core V, players will be able to bring their existing save files, customised mechs and squads into the new experience, which will challenge pilots to toe the line between "survival and complete annihilation."
From Software have spoiled us with what can only be described as a buttload of screenshots showing off massive war machines killing each other (as a fan of all things mecha, I need to go and lie down). Check them out - along with more details - below.
"The world has been thrown into chaos," reads the predictably hyperbolic press release. "Important natural resources needed for the survival of competing factions are scavenged and fought across the world with deadly Armored Core mechs. A strong trigger finger, innovative customization and strategic teamwork will be all that stand between survival and complete annihilation."
Players can still join squads of up to 20 members to fight for persistent territory both in the campaign and online, while solo players can now enlist AI team mates into their units to enjoy the full experience. Save file transfers means that you'll be able to retain your custom AC builds and squads, while accessing new components and features.
That's enough from me. Here are some gratuitous images of mechs, gameplay, the customisation interface and a few trailer rips.
