The latest issue of Nintendo Power magazine details how Assassin's Creed 3 will take advantage of the Wii U's tablet controller. According to the report, the peripheral will act as a persistent link to the animus - displaying a detailed map, navigation tool and database entries when applicable. Players can also use it to browse the in-game encylopaedia without disrupting the flow of the game.
Furthermore, the touch screen will provide slick weapon selection and allow players to toggle between single and dual-wielding modes. The gyroscope also facilitates an alternate view mode for revamped eagle vision. [via MyNintendoNews]
Assassin’s Creed III launches on October 31 for PS3, 360 and PC. As we understand it, the Wii U version will release shortly afterwards.
