Ubisoft announced a new Assassin's Creed graphic novel series at San Diego Comic-Con, which will apparently contain plenty of tidbits about where the franchise is headed after Black Flag.
Assassin's Creed: Brahman stars assassin Arbaaz Mir, whose loyalty to the brotherhood conflicts with his desire to seek revenge against a nemesis who subjugated his people in 1930s India. I suspect that this deadly enemy refers to the colonial British forces, who are probably going to get comprehensively stabbed. Writer Brenden Fletcher told Gamespot that the comic will do more than set up its own canon, instead featuring a present-day storyline that hints at where Assassin's Creed V could be set.
“The story that’s in the present is really significant and is filled with hints for what you’ll see in the future,” he said. “I can’t say much more than that about the hints, of course, but if you’re really excited about Assassin’s Creed games and you want to know where everything’s going past Black Flag and into the future, there are extremely strong hints in Brahman.”
