Assassin's Creed Unity on Xbox One for £19.94 eases the pain

This astonishing deal is half the price of the physical version at £19.44. That's less than £20 for a digital copy of Assassin's Creed unity on Xbox One. Worried  about hard-drive space? Come on now, we know the disc is going to have a massive install anyway.

To get 5% off (normal price £20.99), just like the site's facebook page. If you're not redirected to a code, try this link. Tablet and mobile users may have to tell their device to look for the desktop version of the site to get it to work. If you've already used this trick before, just unlike the page, like it again and pop your email address in the box that appears and a code will appear on-screen.

The Xbox One version of the game has been less buggy than the PS4 release and many issues have been patched. There's no patching the stale ideas and arsehole AI though. To be honest, I'd recommend Rogue over Unity any day of the week. That said, this is a great price and you won't find better this side of Auld Lang Syne.

Thanks to Mark.

The disk versions and the download versions install the EXACT same data to your hard drive.

I've confirmed this with several games where I've installed the disk version, then 'activated' the digital download version by putting the code in - which takes all of three seconds. Then, the game is available to play sans disk immediately.

I've done this a couple of times where I've borrowed a disk off a mate, installed it from there, then activated it and gave disk back. Saves about 14 hours downloading it.
