Avalanche Working With Square On "Ground Breaking" Open World Action Game

Avalanche Studios, the developers behind Just Cause and its massive sequel, have announced that they're working with Square Enix on a "ground breaking", open world "action title.

Square Enix published the last two Just Cause titles, and it's not a massive leap to begin speculating that a third is in the pipeline, particularly considering that Square frantically bought up the domains to JustCause4 the other day.

The news came via Eurogamer in an wmail that declared Avalanche would be "ramping up development on multiple current and next-gen console projects due out in 2013 and 2014", with the studio also confirming that "it is working on two further undisclosed projects based on movie and comic book franchises".

Ground breaking? So does that mean that they are about to release a JCB Simulator?

Agreed. Graphics awesome (even on a low powered GPU), gameplay brilliant fun (45hrs+ of total mayhem), and the open world was truly open.
