Tales series producer Hideo Baba has spoken to Famitsu about the next instalment in the Tales series ahead of the game’s upcoming reveal.
We already know that the next game will be a "mothership" title rather than a spin-off, but Baba also revealed that it will eschew the more traditional fantasy affair of swords and spells for a more "modern" feel, although he assured fans that it will still play very much like a Tales experience.
The game’s tagline is reported to be – "Are you prepared to destroy the world for the sake of a girl?" Apparently Baba suggested that this phrase is "key to the story and gameplay", so expect plenty of romance and probably lashings of melodrama too.
Baba also hinted at other Tales games currently in progress at Namco Bandai, but wouldn't be drawn on details. The new Tales announcement gets made on June 2nd, and Europe will see a localised version of Tales of Graces finally hit our shores this summer. [Siliconera]
