Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition To Release On iPad As Well As PC

Overhaul Games have announced that the upcoming Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, which will see BioWare's exceptional RPG re-released using an upgraded and enhanced version of the Infinity Engine, will be coming to iPad as well as PC.

As with the PC version, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition for iPad will include the entire, original Baldur’s Gate adventure, alongside the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack, and new content including a new adventure and new party member.

It's expected to hit the iPad App Store this Summer. We're praying they do the same for Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition as well.

You can play the standard version (and other infinity engine games too) on Android using GemBR.

And you can play loads of stuff on Windows tablets.

Roll on Windows 8, going to be awesome.

Eh? Have you SEEN Windows 8? It's horrendous. It's going to kill PC gaming .

Well they better be developing them separately or they will both suck. You cannot **** with one of the greatest games ever made, unless you do it PROPERLY.

Yeah, running Windows 8 at home, it sucks for PC but will be great on a tablet.

Sadly, from what I hear, they are going to enforce Metro on the PCs.

I don't know that it would kill PC gaming. All it will mean is you start the game you want from a tile and not a desktop icon. If Metro takes less processing than a standard explorer desktop then it could actually improve things.

Nah, I don't buy in to that at all. That is penned by people who ask if APPLE is the future of gaming.

For playing Angry Birds in a coffee shop in London, not wearing any shoes and sun glasses made only from recyclyed material... then yes, Apple may well be the future of gaming.

For serious gaming Windows will still take the lead and Linux will keep getting bigger.

Look at Vista... DX10 but lame OS = PC gaming is unchanged.

If Windows 8 is lame, people will stick with Windows 7 for gaming, or go to Server8 or something (like they did with Server 2008).
