If you want to turn your talents at hammering the buttons or whacking the drum pads on your music controllers to something that's not quite so rock orientated as Guitar Hero or Rock Band, then why not grab a copy of Band Hero.
You can pick up the game on the 360 from ShopTo for £8.85, which is just over £1 cheaper than the next best deal of £9.99 coming in from Amazon.
The gameplay shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody who's played a music game before, once you decide whether you're playing guitar, bass, drums, or shouting out lyrics through the microphone, you'll have to hit the coloured notes as they descend down the screen or follow the words as they scroll from left to right.
The set list tries to cater for a wider demographic of music lovers, by incorporating pop songs into its midst, and some of the tracks include, 'Turn off the Light' by Nelly Furtado, 'Wannabe' by The Spice Girls, and 'YMCA' by The Village People. Don't start to get worried if you're a rock fan though, you'll also find, 'Sugar, we're going down' by Fall Out Boy, 'Dirty Little Secret' by The All American Rejects', and 'Honky Tonk Women' by The Rolling Stones.
Like almost every band related game on the market, the single player can be a great challenge especially if you're working your way through all the difficulties, but the best experience you can get from it is to have a few friends over or team up online for some musical multiplayer.
Now the game's under £10, even if you're an ultra loyal Guitar Hero or Rock Band fan, you should definitely give it a go.
