The hugely acclaimed superhero smash hit is considered, almost unanimously, to be the best comic based game ever. As such, it comes as something of a shock to see such a great deal for it so soon after release but Game are now offering Batman: Arkham Asylum for a mere £22.99 which seems even more spectacular when you consider that this is nearly £10 less than the next best price of £32.33 from Amazon. The action revolves around a “lunatics take over the asylum” plot when the Joker hatches a plan to lure Batman to Arkham Asylum; infamous home of Gotham’s criminally insane. This offers a great opportunity to take on a parade of well known and loved villains from the many tales of the masked crusader, with a fantastic combat system that makes taking them down serious fun.

The story is well told and draws you in from the start with superb voice acting to keep you fully immersed in the action. There is also loads to unlock to ensure that there’s plenty to keep you coming back after the credits have rolled and, with 240 riddles to solve you could be in for a long ride. The visual presentation is just as great as the soundtrack with all the characters, and Arkham itself, brought to life beautifully. There really isn’t a lot here to complain about and, even if you are not a fan of men who don’t know how to wear their pants, I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t greatly enjoy Batman: Arkham Asylum.
