It would appear so, if a Warner Bros employee's LinkedIn resume is to be believed. Philippe Malenfant, a senior engineer at their Montreal outfit, mentions the game in his online resume, claiming to have worked on the Batman Arkham City Wii U port since May, a mere month before Nintendo unveiled the console to the world in early June at E3.
The news was broken by internet-sleuth Superannuation, an ever-reliable source for cracking secrets and mysteries in the videogame industry. It appears pretty legit, and what with Nintendo claiming worldwide publisher support for the Wii U and the general time-frame of the port's development, it all adds up. However, with Arkham City dropping in October, and the Wii U not scheduled for launch until next year, will it be a simple like-for-like port, or a special edition of sorts? Maybe a repack of Arkham City and Arkham Asylum is on the cards? [Twitter]
