That's right folks, here are two more dates to scribble down in your diary... and two more games to budget for. The anticipated Batman: Arkham City and SOCOM 4: Special Forces have finally been given confirmed release dates. The PS3 exclusive shooter will be out next month, though we'll need to wait a lot longer for the Caped Crusader's next outing.
Let's go in order of release date. Zipper Interactive have confirmed that SOCOM 4: Special Forces will launch on 19th April, which is ahead of the US launch. You've got to make the most of the few opportunities to play games before our transatlantic brethren! I've already tried it out using Playstation Move controls, and to be honest, I'm actually rather excited. Let's hope that it'll erase all memories of the godawful SOCOM: Confrontation from our minds...
Secondly, Rocksteady Studios has revealed that Batman: Arkham City (sequel to the rampantly-successful Arkham Asylum) will be released on 21st October. Details are still thin on the ground - and we can't yet confirm that this is a worldwide release date - but we'll update this post by the wire. What we do know is that it's five times bigger and hopefully many times better. Why not check out Felix's preview?
