Not a massive fan of FPS (got mine as a punt on BF3 having a bigger trade-in value than Batman AC next week) but having played both, I'd say no. I preferred the singleplayer of MW2.

Yes, yes it is. By a long way. MW is all about the multiplayer, while BF retains a decent single player campaign.. It's a much better buy for someone like me who couldn't give a monkies about playing obsessive 12 year olds online. I specifically won't be buying MW3 until it drops below £18 simply because the single player campaign in MW2 was essentially no more than a bit of bundled DLC they tagged on to the multiplayer.

@M3NDEREZ Really? I thought the single player was amazing on MW2. The attention to detail was great. I loved every minute of it, I only wished there was more of it. One of my favourite little touches was the ice picks, little things like that made it great fun.
Slack (obsessive 33 year old online player)... and remember, no Russian.

The single player campaign was about 7 hours on MW2 - Closer to 17 on BF. I just couldn't justify buying MW3 on that basis..

MW3 is Not MW2. Completely different games, completely different developers too. To say that is just plain ridiculous.

The single player campaign on bf bc2 was potentially the worst single player campaign ever. And it was over in about three hours. So again, how you have come up with your reasonings is completely ludicrous.

If single player campaign on BF took you about 17 hours you're doing something wrong, M3NDEREZ! (Average looks to be between 5 and 6 hours according to this source.)
The same site has MW2 at 6-8 hours and of course there's no firm data yet on MW3.

I much prefered MW2 over BF3, personally. I found Battlefield's story to be too cliched and disjointed, the engine to be buggy, and the whole experience to be way too short even on the hardest difficulty.
