What's On Each Of Battlefield 3's Two Discs?

Here's A Clue; The Game

EA caused quite a ruckus last week when it announced upcoming Call of Duty competitor shooter Battlefield 3 would be shipping on two discs on the Xbox 360. As you'd expect, a miniature uproar ensued - we do love a good old fanboy debacle - which then died down almost as quickly as it had flared up. With the dust duly settled, EA has set about explaining just what you can expect to find on each disc when you purchase Battlefield 3 on the 360.

"Battlefield 3 for Xbox 360 ships on two discs with endless hours of spectacular high-definition gameplay," is the official line from EA, bound to inevitable send us all to sleep. On a side-note, if you're an insomniac I highly suggest you read a few press releases. It'll sort you right out. So, the boring stuff out the way, EA explain what you can find on each disc.

"Disc one features the stunning multiplayer, co-op levels and HD installation content," reads the statement. "Disc two features the superb single-player campaign." So, it's settled then. You'll have to get up and change discs if you want to go from one to the other. The horror... the horror. PS3 and PC fans, you needn't switch discs. Rest easy. [Eurogamer]

ahem ...

Whatever, it's a small concession to play the superior console version. It should be awesome!

Almost, but not quite, enough to make me fork out £200 instead of £35 to get a ps3 and the game on blu instead of just playing it on my tired old 360....

while you're busy installing it onto your PS3 hard drive i'll be in the middle of my fourth match online !

hehe :)

Not a problem - didn't want to go online on my new ps3 anyway. Doing so is tantamount to mass-mailing your bank details to everyone in Nigeria, donchaknow.

PC is going to be superior to both so :P

true story, unfortunately for me i have an achievement addiction and cannot bring myself to purchase the PC version over the 360 version :(

Well enjoy your 24 player games, while we have 64 players on the PC

PS3 Fanboys seem to have a memory lapse when it comes to the 360 being able to install multi discs onto the harddrive and as long as disc 1 is in you never need to get up, whereas the PS3 forces you to wait and wait and wait whilst it only installs just a couple of gig of the game whilst then still having to wear out the Blu ray player to play the game

I do love my PS3 but I also admit that my memory is not what it used to be.
