Battlefield 4 Accidentally Outed By EA

According to a hastily-amended Origin listing, Medal Of Honor: Warfighter pre-orders will grant access to the Battlefield 4 beta.

Digital Spy caught the incriminating product listing before EA managed to enact some desperate damage control, taking a screenshot of the more-than-suggestive banner (above). This banner might represent a calamitous cock-up by a graphic designer, but you and I both know that it's far more likely that this leak pretty much slaps a 2013 release date on Battlefield 4.

It's no surprise that Battlefield 4 is on the way. DICE have previously confirmed that they're developing another entry in the incredibly popular franchise, with Battlefield 3 breaking pre-order and sales records for the company.

Since the beta appears to be "exclusive" to Origin PC pre-orders, we'll be excited to find out whether Battlefield 4 is also in development for PS3 and Xbox 360 or the next generation of home consoles. The Frostbite 2 engine is designed with future-proofing in mind, so anything is possible.

Medal Of Honor: Warfighter, currently in development at Danger Close for an October 23rd release, is actually shaping up rather nicely. Why not check out our E3 hands-on preview?

Well it's no big surprise.

Over the last few years, there's been a new COD game every year and a new Battlefield every 2 years.

Yep, as predictable as FIFA 13/Pro Evo 13.
