Battlefield 4 Going Big On Branded Merch

Battlefield 4 isn't going to scrimp on licensed merchandise for fans to consume, not limited to a tie-in novel, art book, strategy guides, clothing, bags and a range of Razer products.

EA and DICE have selected numerous partners to "further develop the profile of Battlefield in pop culture." There'll be plenty of toilet break reading material thanks to a new novel penned by Peter Grimsdale "that provides backstory about the game's heroic squad", an official art book from Titan Books (with Standard and Limited Editions available, natch) and a Prima Games strategy guide.

US clothing line Jinx will provide branded t-shirts, tote bags, hoodies, dog tags, hats and key chains, while BigBen Interactive is developing a line of mobile phone cases. PDP is currently working on PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers.

Razer, naturally, has been quick to expand their peripheral line with a range of goodies, from keyboards to headsets and mice.

Battlefield 4 releases on October 29th for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 - next-gen versions will hit during the Christmas period.

The ladies love a guy who sports clothes/accessories emblazoned with game logos, so they should sell very well.

You bet. My Scourge: Outbreak T-shirt is the envy of my peers, and definitely not sitting in a drawer to be worn only while painting ceilings...

Exit through the gift shop.

I wear game clothing sometimes. Although I'll admit that I often wear things that aren't always obvious (like my Half Life 2 shirt that everyone thinks is an Aphex Twin shirt), and if people recognise what it is, then they're likely a gamer who thinks nothing of it anyway. I think a lot of companies might purposefully make them that way.

I do however wear a Gears of War shirt with a massive crimson omen logo on it, but I don't really care what most people think. If you're someone I've never met and likely won't meet again, why should your opinion mean anything to me.

In any case, if I want some BF merch I'll just buy some blue and orange spray paint.

But the ladies love me when I wear a T-Shirt that says "GAP" right across my chest, I am so cool then!

I've been wearing a Harry Potter T-Shirt all day, even at work

Like Breadster said above though, it's quite a stealth one. I like it when people say they like my T-Shirt, that way when I ask if they "like Harry Potter then?" and they say "no"... I can call them a Muggle and walk off.
