Let's face it, we don't particularly care about Battlefield 4's singleplayer campaign. And we probably never will thanks to an emphatic showing from the multiplayer side of things. Battlefield 4 may not have lifted the 64 player cap, but has massively upped the amount of destruction, allowing players to take down entire skyscrapers and base jump from the roof as they fall.
Commanders will also be able to use SmartGlass tablet functionality to order in missile strikes and survey the, erm, battlefield from an overhead perspective. We've got the insane reveal trailer, more details and a Commander Mode breakdown after the jump.
Battlefield 4 will bring full 64-player servers to the PS4 and Xbox One, previously the sole domain of us PC lot, and have also guaranteed a blistering 60FPS frame rate. Gosh.
On the strategy side of things, commanders will be able to order their troops into battle, benefiting from a lofty bird's eye view and the ability to trigger devastating ordnance on priority targets. Grunts, however, can enjoy the massive range of ground vehicles, planes, boats, helicopters and parachute jumping off exploding buildings.
Note that there's no adorable motion-captured dog, but after watching that, I'm not convinced I need one...
