A must for any Beatles fan at nearly £2 cheaper than the next best deal. It’s the solus version (obviously), but come on, isn’t your living room full of enough toy instruments by now? Besides, playing Slayer on a Beatles drum kit is just too weird.
A great deal of effort has been put into the visual presentation of the game. You’ll be playing in famous venues like the Cavern Club, the Ed Sullivan Show, Budokan, Shea Stadium and the rooftop of Apple Records or against psychedelic explosions of colour. Pointless for the player, but something decent for everyone else to look at instead of the usual shit-hole Rock Band venues. Cartoonified models of the Beatles themselves have been included too and perfectly match the vibrant backgrounds.
Harmonies are utilised for the first time in the series with everyone able to sing at the same time. This can be great, or it can sound like a drunken four man football chant. Your call.
The 45 song track list consist of the master recordings including: 'I Saw Her Standing There,' 'I Want To Hold Your Hand,' 'I Feel Fine,' 'Taxman,' 'Day Tripper,' Back In The USSR,' 'I Am The Walrus,' 'Octopus's Garden,' 'Here Comes The Sun,' and 'Get Back.' There might be a few of your own favourites missing, but they might be amongst the current/future DLC packs as is the nature of band-specific games so far.
An excellent buy then for Beatles fans, or Rock Band addicts trying to 100% track out there.
