I posted a Bioshock deal from Simply Games up a handful of days ago, but it seems that the FPS has tumbled a little more in price, this time down to £19.85, making it a £5 gap between Simply Games and the nearest competitor ShopTo.
It's a fine game, if a little less striking than its predecessor, but then that was always to be expected. It's not easy following in the footsteps of one of the games of the decade, but this is an excellent sequel, making up for a slightly less impressive narrative with a tweaked and polished game engine. The shooter mechanics are fantastic, the AI superb and firefights play out with more tension than ever before. The single-player is also now supported by a Modern Warfare 2-esque multiplayer that, thankfully, doesn't just feel like it's been tacked on.
Above all else, it's good to be back in Rapture and, if you enjoyed the first game, then this should definitely be on your shopping list unless you have it already. You can check out my review of the game in full here.
