Is there anybody out there who is not excited for the follow up to the incredible and unique Bioshock? While I feel very trepidatious about the whole thing, it is still hard not to look forward to discovering what has become of Rapture.
The collector's edition will set you back a pretty penny and there is no telling whether the price will ever dip below the current preorder mark as, for a change, in this case, "limited" really does mean limited. With that in mind, HMV's price is not to be dismissed; £59.99 may be steep but it is at least a tenner cheaper than anywhere else, with the next best price coming in at £69.73 from The Hut.

This special version of the game is limited to just a single production run (though how many copies that production run will create is a different matter...) and actually does sound pretty well, special. As well as the game you will receive a 12" vinyl LP of the Bioshock orchestral score, a CD of the Bioshock 2 orchestral score, 3 vintage style posters of advertisements from Rapture and a 164 page hardback book featuring art from the new game.
The new game is set about a decade after the events of the original and puts players into the boots of the first Big Daddy who finds itself reanimated but with no memories of the past, just the burning need to find the Little Sister it was originally paired with. However Rapture is not what it once was and it turns to the player to save the city from its new master, Big Sister Sophia Lamb.
Bioshock 2 is due for release on the 9th of February.
