Activision has released some more details about the Call Of The Dead zombie mode that will ship with the upcoming Escalation Pack DLC... and it's going grindhouse! As well as an awesome exploitation presentation, the map will feature the likeness and voice talents of horror director George Romero, Machete star Danny Trejo and Buffy's Sarah Michelle Gellar amongst others.

Treyarch boss Mark Lamia feels that Call Of The Dead is a fitting homage to the legendary George Romero, and that it was a pleasure to work with the likes of Michael Rooker, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) and the menacing Danny Trejo. Fans will apparently be overjoyed with the result.

The Escalation Map Pack will launch May 3rd on Xbox Live, with a PS3 and PC version to follow once the timed exclusivity expires.
