Vengeance, the latest map pack for Call Of Duty: Black Ops II, arrives today on Xbox Live for 1200 Microsoft Points. You'll get four new maps for your money, one of which is a rebuild of popular Black Ops map (Summit/Uplink), alongside a Western-themed Zombies level.

This new trailer shows the aforementioned cooperative map, Buried, in action. Yee-haw!

Bought my season pass a while back, so I'll get the new map pack soon (but I'm too busy enjoying XCOM at the moment).

Can't remember which map "Uplink" was, but I'm sure it'll come back to me when I play it. It's arguably a bit lazy, but I like it when they bring back popular maps from earlier instalments.

I always enjoy a new COD Zombies map, but I worry they've become a bit too "clique" lately. Having a bare hint of a back story, a tune play if you hit the three hidden objects, and a secret extra weapon or boost if you performed a short sequence of actions was all great fun. I'd say it peaked with the map where you had the three lunar landers - turn on the power then pay to ride all three landers and the pack-a-punch machine will become available.
But these days there's lots of back story, lots of stuff that only makes sense if you've played the earlier maps and found all of the hidden stuff - and the hidden extra stuff always involves carrying out a ridiculously long and convoluted routine that you're only going to know about by following others on youtube. (I follow "NGTZombies", and enjoy watching them discover new "easter egg" stuff, but rarely bother doing most of it these days.)

Sadly I am still hooked on Blops 2. Definitely got my moneys worth here.

Uplink was called Summit (according to the internet, so may be lies). Summit was awesome, so looking forward to that.

Zombies is really good. My only criticism was that for Die-Rise, you should be able to do it with 1, 2 or 3 players.
Requiring all 4 players is stupid for a game that lets you play with fewer people. They seem to have sorted this in Mob of the Dead... but they have made that map so big that it will take ages to find everything and work out what to do... still finding new things I have a fair few hours play on it.

Zombies is definitely less about survival of waves and more about doing a thing now. Which is OK I guess, but does change the feeling of the game.

I miss running in circles round the cinema level.

Haha, I almost wore out my jump button jumping over those little lava cracks on Town while doing my signature 8 zombie train :\
