Back in November last year, Microsoft announced that their Vancouver studio would be renamed Black Tusk, and that the outfit would be set to work on "Microsoft's next big entertainment franchise".
We were expecting one title, perhaps. We were wrong. How about four?
A LinkedIn CV belonging to the firm’s senior product manager/product planner, Jonathan Browne, refers to "four unannounced new IP" that have been brought "from the very early concept phase through green light to production".
According to Browne, during his stint at the studio since 2010, he has “been the primary product manager on four unannounced new IP,” and has been a “key contributor to bringing these IP from the very early concept phase through green light to production.”
Studio manager Mike Crump hammered home the point that Black Tusk were aiming high for their projects. Halo high.
“We are working on Microsoft’s next big entertainment franchise,” he said back in November. “We’re not working on an existing franchise, we’re looking to build the next Halo here in Vancouver, for example, which is really exciting. We are building something from the ground up."
That was just for one; now there are four. Prepping for a launch lineup perchance? [via Gematsu]
