Cyanide Studio has announced another, definitive edition of Blood Bowl: their adaptation of Games Workshop's tabletop fantasy football game. The Chaos Edition will include three new races and an expansive World Championship solo mode, on top of the original game and previously-released content. We've got details, screens and release info below.
Blood Bowl: Chaos Edition will bring the race roster up to 23, marking the anticipated debut of the malevolent Chaos Dwarves and Underworld Outcast teams. The main event, however, is probably the addition of the Daemons of Khorne, hailing all the way from the Chaos realms and bringing nightmarish bloodlust to the battlefield. Their new stadium (pictured), recently erected by Amazons and Lizardmen in the very heart of their tropical jungle, is more than ready to welcome all the new teams seeking to win the Blood Bowl tournament.
The new and retooled World Championship mode is set to enhance Blood Bowl's singleplayer functionality. "From national qualifying games to continental cups to the final tournament, the competition just got bloodier!"
Blood Bowl: Chaos Edition is slated for a September launch on PC, a few months after Cyanides Game Of Thrones RPG hits shelves. They've got a lot to prove.
