'Headhunter Packs' Will Add New Scenarios
Gearbox has confirmed that more Borderlands 2 DLC packs are on the way, starting with the awkwardly-named Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2. This new content drop beefs the level cap up to 72, though won't be part of the season pass.
Revealing the new DLC at PAX Australia, Gearbox stated that Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 will also add new modifiers to tweak the game difficulty, alongside the "Digistruct Peak Challenge" that sees players team up with Patricia Tannis to train new Crimson Raiders. By shooting stuff, most likely. It will cost "around $5," release date TBA.
Looking ahead, CEO Randy Pitchford also revealed that some new episodic content will be arriving in the form of several Headhunter Packs. These smaller offerings contain new scenarios, the first of which will be T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest, allowing you to face off against the undead redneck in a reprisal of the Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned. Pricing and length haven't been announced yet, so watch this space, Borderlands fans.
Finally, Pitchford also assured fans that increased inventory, ammunition and bank capacities are on the way via free updates.
