Bravely Default Coming To European 3DS As An Enhanced Edition

Square Enix has announced that cult 3DS JRPG Bravely Default will be released in Europe later this year as a fully enhanced edition - which you can see in action by way of a new trailer below.

Known as Bravely Default: For The Sequel in Japan, this new version adds numerous improvements to the original game including enhanced visuals, animated conversation portraits, an overhauled UI, new difficulty settings and fully localised dialogue. Players can choose between the Japanese or the new English audio tracks, while any on-screen text can also be displayed in French, Italian, German or Spanish.

Bravely Default doesn't have a firm European release date beyond "2013," but US gamers will have to wait until next year. It's a fair trade since Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl hasn't been dated for British shores yet.

"Bravely Default" sounds like a dodgy translation.
I've never felt particularly brave when I use default settings.

(Not the worst Jap-Eng translation we've seen in video games, mind, by a long shot.)

Is the headline image some sort of box art? Or official game image. I thought it was some sort of soft-porn japanese game at first.

@Late: zing!

@X10: It's official Japanese banner art. Which, I hasten to add, I cropped VERY JUDICIOUSLY.

It's a perfectly good translation; it's a timeless tale of a young girl who defaults on her mortgage payments. Bravely.
