Brink | £3.85 | ShopTo | Xbox 360

Surely this has got to be worth a punt now that it's less than a fiver and should save you over £2 on the next best offers out there. Brink's got a few flaws here and there, but it's pretty good fun and focuses on teamwork rather than having you adopt a lone wolf approach to the proceedings. Unfortunately the single player can become rather irritating thanks to the wayward bots and you can override team play by using bottlenecks and a bit of brute force. Thanks to goonertillidie @ HUKD.

Brink Complete Pack | £4.75 | Steam | PC

Just in case you missed yesterday's bulletin, Brink is now free to play on Steam and carries a hefty discount. If you're looking to buy, be sure to spend the extra quid on the complete pack that includes the Agents Of Change DLC pack, which normally retails for £6.99 by itself.

I hope that Brink can retain some of its player base after the free weekend ends. Splash Damage failed to set the world on fire, but they did deliver an addictive and solid FPS experience that shines when you embrace its cooperative spirit.

Brink Special Edition | £7.99 | Gamestation | PS3

Last week Xbox 360 owners got the chance to get hold of Brink for cheap, but PS3 owners are getting something a little better with this offer from Gamestation. This offer for the Special Edition is coming in at the same price as the regular version, and you can save yourself £7 in the process.

Included with the game in the Special Edition are two customisation packs, one for Spec Ops, the other for Doom, that add more options to how you want to look on either side of the battle for the Ark. It may have been flawed in its execution but there are some great ideas in Brink, and at under £8 (especially with the extra content) it would be foolish to dismiss it. Brink's a pretty good team shooter that gives you a lot of options when it comes to customising your character. Unfortunately though it does have a couple of annoying quirks and you're probably not going to pay much attention to the story whatsoever. Amazon and the merchants that make up The Game Group are currently selling PC copies of the game for £7.98, which'll make you a saving of just over £2 on the next best offer coming in from Grainger Games.

Brink has a couple of minor flaws ranging from annoying AI bots to problems that can be overcome by sheer brute force, however they're easily overlooked because it's an awesome team shooter that's got a ridiculously addictive upgrade system, so basically once you throw yourself into it, it's hard to tear yourself away. Amazon and The Game Group are parting with copies of the game for £14.98, which is almost £3 cheaper than the next best offer coming in from ShopTo.

I've been playing an inordinate amount of Brink recently - so please take my word for this. Regardless of what you think you've heard about Brink, you need to be aware that £9.98 is an exceptional price for it. Tight teamwork and a monstrously addictive upgrade system overshadow and trivialise its faults (and mechanical gripes), and any misgivings about the eight arenas melt away at this price point. Plus, they fixed the lag.

Free DLC, updates and clan support are incoming. Let's hope that there's still a thriving community left when it hits.

Brink's a game that provides bucket loads of team shooter fun, despite it's flaws. Some of the more irritating aspects of the game include annoying AI controlled bots that make you angrier and angrier, as well as the fact that you can occasionally solve your problems by storming in guns blazing rather than working with the rest of your team. The Game Group are parting with Xbox 360 copies of the game for £17.99, which'll make you a saving of almost £2 on the next best offer coming in from ShopTo. Thanks to TomTom101 @ HUKD.

Regardless of what you think you've heard about Brink, you need to be aware that this is a brilliant price for it. Tight teamwork and a monstrously addictive upgrade system overshadow and trivialise its faults, and any misgivings about the eight arenas melt away for just under thirteen quid.

Brink 3

Brink's a pretty good game, sure it's got its flaws but it's fun to play, which is exactly what you want when making a purchase. The game focuses on team work and the character customisation and levelling system'll keep you coming back for more, whilst the look of the game'll keep you fixed on the screen as you blast your way though the game. Unfortunately, the single player can get a bit annoying because of some of the bots, and in places it seems to lack a bit of polish. You can grab a PS3 copy of the game from ShopTo for £17.86, which is over £7 cheaper than the next best offer coming in from HMV. Thanks to ChrisIW @ HUKD.
