Kickstarted adventure sequel Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse has been officially dated for December 4th, following an intensive year of development. However, it will also release in two episodes "in close succession" - each of which are apparently full-fat games.
"We are delighted to announce that the Windows/Mac/Linux version of Broken Sword 5 - The Serpent’s Curse will be released on December 4th," reads the latest backer update. "As backers, you will be able to download the game on the day of release! The exact details about “how” will follow closer to release."
"To top that news, the game will be released as two action-packed adventures in close succession. Thanks to your support, we have been able to be hugely ambitious – each episode is a full sized game in its own right. And because we couldn’t have done it without you, everyone from reward level $15 and up will receive both episodes!"
Apparently the second episode will launch in January 2014, which isn't too long to wait. Is it? Double Fine? Hmm? That said, the Android and iOS versions haven't yet been dated.
