Brothers - A Tale Of Two Sons Announced

Coming To XBLA, PSN & Steam Next Year

505 Games has revealed that it will be publishing Starbreeze’s next game, a downloadable title called Brothers – A Tale Of Two Sons. Collaborating with Swedish filmmaker Josef Fares, players will experience the story of the titular siblings in their quest to find a cure for their ailing father. We have a teaser trailer, a few screenshots, and a snippet of info, after the jump.

“When I first visualised Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons I knew I wanted to combine the deep, engrossing storyline of a film with the physical experience of a video game, allowing players to emotionally connect with the characters as they trek across sweeping, interactive environments such as peaceful vistas, foreboding forests and dangerous mountainsides,” said Fares in a press statement yesterday. “I chose to partner with Starbreeze and 505 Games to make my vision a reality and am confident that together we are creating an amazing and unique experience for gamers.”

The press release hints that each brother will have strengths and weaknesses to take into consideration, although we don't know exactly how it will affect the gameplay, and it appears to be an ogre-like creature will be thrown into the mix. Otherwise, all we know for certain is that the Unreal Engine powered game will be coming out for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC as a downloadable title, with an aimed release of Spring 2013. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on any updates as they appear. In the meantime, put these embiggening images in your viewing space.
