Buy a Nintendo DS Lite or DSi, Add a Selected Game for £10 and an Accessory Pack for Free @ Amazon [DS Games]If If you’re looking to get hold of a Nintendo DS, Amazon are currently running a  deal which might interested you. They are offering a bundle pack which includes a DS lite or DSi, along with one game for £10 and a free accessories pack.

Although this might sound confusing, Amazon have broken the deal down into 3 steps:

1)      Firstly you add the DS lite or DSi to your basket. On Amazon, a black DSi will set you back £134.99. This is not exactly the best price according to price comparison as on Zavvi you can get hold of a black DSi for £124.95. Probably the best deal on Amazon for a DS console is a pink DS lite which costs £98.96 – just a few quid more expensive than the cheapest offer from Shopto of £94.99.

2)      The second step is to add one of the listed games. The selection doesn’t exactly consist of the greatest DS titles. You can either get Hannah Montana, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Classic Word Games or Brain Training. Adding anyone of these titles to your basket costs a further £10.

3)      Finally you can then choose a free accessories pack. This consists of a few extra styluses, a wrist strap, cleaning cloth, console carry case and a couple of game cases. On Amazon this would normally set you back £7.99.

The potential saving varies depending on what DS console and game you opt for. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is probably the best game as the cheapest copy from coolshop is £19.99. So you can get the game for half price, although if you choose a black DS from Amazon this £10 the saving is cancelled out because the same console is £10 cheaper from Zavvi. You would only really be getting a free accessory pack.

But if you went for a pink DS lite with Harry Potter you would make a good saving of somewhere in the region of £20. This is of course when comparing the deal with the cheapest prices these items are going for individually. Compared to buying them separately on Amazon, you would of course be saving a lot more money. Overall this deal does have some potential although someone on the original thread said Tesco were offering an even better one. So before committing yourself, it might be worth shopping around.
