Missed out on one of those rather natty PS4 20th Anniversary Edition consoles? Well, PlayStation UK and GAME have teamed up to issue another several hundred units, but you're going to have to do some legwork if you want to be in with a shot of getting one.
Here's how it'll work.
First of all, you need to be following @PlayStationUK or @GAMEDigital on Twitter.
Then, from 11am today, you'll be able to head over to the PlayStation website and study an image containing over 300 characters from PlayStation history. Sony have suggested that participants "study the image well and make sure you know your PlayStation characters." There's a reason for that...
Each day this week, at a certain time, the @PlayStationUK and @GAMEDigital Twitter accounts will tweet a clue using the hashtag #20YearsOfCharacters. Your job is to solve the clue, find the character in question on the aforementioned page over on the PlayStation website, and click on that character.
Get it right, and you get a link that takes you to a special GAME website where you can fill out a form requesting a purchase link for the anniversary edition PS4. If you're one of the first 100 people to submit, you'll get an email from GAME within 24 hours of the link going live directing you to a page where you can buy the console for £399.99.
Don't worry if you're not in the first 100, as every person who completes the form that day will be entered into a daily prize draw, with one person chosen at random to win one of the Anniversary Edition consoles. It should be noted that these consoles will not be available for general sale, and although stock will be replenished each day for this initiative, come Friday that's it. Once they're gone at the end of this week, they're gone.
Here are the times both accounts will tweet. Make sure you set an alarm!
- Monday 4pm
- Tuesday 5pm
- Wednesday 2pm
- Thursday 8am
- Friday 12pm
There are a few other things to note too: This is UK-only. GAME will only ship to a UK address. You'll need to be 18 years old to take part, and there's a limit to only one console per customer.
