Call Of Duty: Ghosts Trailer Introduces 'Squads' Mode

Activision, Call Of Duty: Ghosts, Infinity Ward, The Squids are coming!, trailer

According to an exciting new trailer, Call Of Duty: Ghosts has listened to its marine biology-loving audience and introduced Squids. That's right, folks, we'll presumably now be able to equip cephalopods in battle to spray enemies with ink, or bravely face off against the terrors of the deep in singleplayer in a quest to make the world's biggest paella...

...wait, sorry, no. Squads. Call Of Duty: Ghosts has Squads. It's a new multiplayer gametype that blurs the lines between singleplayer, co-op and competition, granting you leadership over a squad of AI team-mates who can be endlessly customised. Experience carries over into multiplayer proper, granting you another way to beef up your arsenal. Looks properly fun, too.

=)) Well played sir.

Looks like a nice, but long overdue, addition.

You could do most of that in 2005 on Perfect Dark Zero. The integration of local multiplayer and bots meant it was possibly my most played game for several years. Nice to see it incorporated into a good fps, though. As much as I loved it, PDZ wasn't a great game, and only got as much play as it did because the kids and I could easily swap players with NPCs and balance teams through lots of customisations.
