Is Call of Duty: Ghosts coming to Wii U? Well, we thought it might have been after Infinity Ward producer Mark Rubin bounded up on stage with Gamespot at E3 and said it was, but that they weren't talking about it yet because "we want to keep it mysterious".
Now, however, Rubin swears he has no knowledge of a Wii U version. Apparently he's not even supposed to be talking about his lack of knowledge.
"Ha! You know that's funny, because I don't even know the answer to that," he told Games Industry. "I swear to God, I don't. I was trying to say in the interview [that] I really don't know and I'm not supposed to talk about it. I'm not supposed to talk about the fact that I don't know."
GI then pressed Rubin on the matter, asking if, hypothetically of course, if the Wii U version might look as good as other next-gen versions of the game.
"I imagine [it could], yeah. If you look at the hardware specs, I think it would be more in line with 360 and PS3, but I'm not sure. There could be some things [in the hardware] that bump it up a little higher than that," he answered. "I haven't played with it enough to know. I have one at home, and I think it's cool; I can't stop playing ZombiU."
It's sort of like one of those awkward teen comedy moments. Are you going out with this artistically promising but hugely unpopular wallflower, Freddie Prinze Jr.? You're not? But you totally said that you...
Poor Wii U.
