Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Strategy Guide £7.79 @ Amazon [Games Accessories]

Considering that the whole world and its dog appear to have gone Modern Warfare crazy in the last few weeks, you may be looking for a way to stay ahead of the pack in the all important multiplayer action (as well as making sure that you finish it before your friends or the media storm destroy any mystique the game may have). So I thought it would be worth sharing the fact that Amazon are currently selling the strategy guide for a mere £7.79. This is 40% less than the RRP of £12.99 and the best price I have found for it.

The next best price is from Tesco who are selling it for £9.09 (but you'll have to add p&p to that price unless you want to add more items to your order to make it up to £15), while Play are asking £9.99 for the guide.

The guide offers a comprehensive step by step walkthrough, covering all of the single player missions. There are detailed maps offering locations of useful stuff and intel as well as showing you all the possible routes available to you. Multiplayer is also covered, with custom maps showing all the most important locations and plenty of expert tactical advice for all the team based games. Plus the usual strategy guide bits and bobs of information, in this case covering all the weapons, challenges, camouflage, achievements/trophies and features. Heck you even get a "bonus foldout" - whatever that means.

The guide covers the Xbox, PS3 and PC versions.

Anyone who needs a strategy guide for this game, needs to give up gaming.

also, the gaming bargain blog that posts any deal including a strategy guide needs to give up blogging.

@Chris

You're an idiot.

They wouldn't make these things if they didn't sell :P

These are the days of Achievement and Trophy hunters.....sometimes a sneak peek at a guide or FAQ needs to be done for maximum award digging.

Like looking for those freaking flags in Assassin's Creed! I hit up GameFAQs for those badboys and it still didn't get me anywhere.

Bobbin Threadbare  Nov. 12, 2009 at 02:38

Or wait for gamefaqs, either way.

@Matt, try this site: http://www.assassinscreed-maps.com, I've just beaten Assassin's Creed myself lately and used this for the flags and Templars. Takes no more than forty minutes per level!

Surely anyone who is online to be able to view this blog is able to go to one of the many free online strategy guides that IGN and the like do :-P

As it is apparently a short game it would seem a waste to use a guide anyway but they do sell well and £7.79 is cheap for one if you're into that. Just add that on top of the £130 or whatever it was some paid for the all singing all dancing version.

@Bobbin You utter lad. That site was awesome. Achievement whoring here I come! :D

@Chris I agree, although some people like pages. It's weird. Never really found a guide that helpful for a shooter though. The Prima one for Oblivion is thicker than the Bible.
