With Comet’s deal from the start of the month now gone, Tesco Entertainment have jumped in to take advantage of an excellent price that now extends to both Xbox 360 and PS3 owners. Simply Games have lowered their price to be competitive, but ultimately a difference of £3.50 makes Tesco’s listings the better of the two.
I felt MW3 was more of a “greatest hits” tour of what made its predecessors a fun experience. Sure, it doesn’t really bring anything new to the table, but for a quick and easy fix of fast-paced FPS action it certainly does the trick. Thanks to ettienem1001 @ HUKD!
Like some sort of rare metal, the latest instalments in the Call of Duty franchise always seem to hold their high price point, so deals like this one are worth highlighting. Comet’s offer puts the Xbox 360 version of MW3 at £25, providing a saving of almost £8.

I found Modern Warfare 3 incredibly disappointing mainly down to the fact that it's hugely repetitive, but then again if you're a massive fan of the series you'll probably enjoy this one. There's no denying that the single player's action packed and of course the multiplayer will consume you if given enough time. You can grab a Wii copy of the game from the merchants listed above for £24.99, which'll make you a saving of almost £5 on the next best offer coming in from Cool Shop UK.
Infinity Ward has announced that Modern Warfare 3's eighth title update is now available on Xbox Live and is in certification for PS3. The patch contains a major improvement to Youtube upload speed, fixes for host disadvantage and lag along with a whole heap of nerfs. We've got the full details after the break, complete with other fixes being considered for the next update (including further improvements to the spawn system).
IW's Robert Bowling (aka fourzerotwo) states that the update will "be out shortly on all platforms soon." In that vein, hopefully it will quickly make its way to PS3 rapidly, fast.Click here to read more...
Oh, how I've been waiting for an opportunity to moan about this game! Maybe it's just me, but I found this one incredibly boring and repetitive. Yes, it's pretty much a greatest hits compilation, which is perfectly fine as long as there's a little bit of variety too. The single player missions are more or less all the same, you sneak around following your commanding officer, plant a few explosives, the proverbial hits the fan, then you have to shoot everything in sight. I'll give credit where credit's due though, the co-op survival mode is brilliant fun as well as posing a fair old challenge. The merchants listed above are parting with PC copies of the game for £19.98, which'll save you almost £2 on the next best offers out there.
I think by now you all know what to expect from a Modern Warfare game and this instalment of the series delivers just as much bang for your buck as its predecessors. The single player campaign's overflowing with action moments, the co-op modes are great to dive into with a friend, and the multiplayer's just as addictive as ever. The hardened edition features in Game's deal of the day today and you'll save almost £20 on the Xbox 360 version and £15 on the PS3. Thanks to Syzable @ HUKD.
The voucher code listed above'll help knock a bit of money off the price of Xbox 360 and PS3 copies of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 over at Sainsbury's Entertainment, which'll save you just over £6.50 on both versions. This one delivers everything you'd expect from a Modern Warfare game, the single player's filled with explosions and tense firefights, the co-op modes are exceptionally good, and the multiplayer's unbelievably addictive. Thanks to Vaughan09 @ HUKD.
Modern Warfare 3's not long away now and I think we all know what to expect; hours and hours of adrenaline fuelled action packed mayhem that you can't tear yourself away from. If you want to find out what the spec ops section of the game 's like then you should definitely take a look at Jon's preview.
Amazon have dropped their pre-order price for the game down to £36.99, which'll save you almost £3 on the next best offers out there.
[As commenters have correctly pointed out, Tesco Entertainment's voucher code deal is still the cheapest way of getting your hands on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions (as we posted a few days ago). I've changed this over to reflect the best Wii price, which slightly undercuts Coolshop and otherwise delivers a £2+ saving. - Ed]
Modern Warfare 3 is apparently some sort of 'first person shooter' game, where players will reportedly use guns to kill people. It's a bizarre and innovative concept, and we hope it catches on.
Okay, sorry, enough facetiousness. If you want to pre-order it, your best bet it to head over to Tesco entertainment and plug in their EXCCOD3-1 voucher code, which will save you a fiver. Thanks to jimbob69 at Hot UK Deals, who found this offer long before I did. Top man.
