Call of Juarez: The Cartel

Ubisoft have released a new trailer for Call of Juarez: The Cartel today that gives players a glimpse into the handful of multiplayer modes available in the game. There are your regular kill 'em all modes like Team Deathmatch, but others too with a slightly different flavour. Star Witness, for example, sees two squads battling it out to protect a designated 'judge'.  Robbery Crew looks somewhat reminiscent of Kane and Lynch - with thieves attempting to steal as much loot as possible, and a team of law enforcers attempting to stop them doing just that. From two man multiteam battles to vehicular combat, it's surprising just how much is crammed into this one. Chances are, if you've been toying with the idea of getting into Techland's third visit to Juarez, you'll want to give it a look.

Call of Juarez: The Cartel

Three new videos have emerged, courtesy of Ubisoft, that give gamers a glimpse at the three protagonists at the heart of Call of Juarez: The Cartel. Ben McCall, descendant of the good Reverend of the first two games, is a sporting hero and Vietnam vet-turned-LAPD-bloodhound who likes the Bible, women and lots of violence. Yeah, he has a couple of Medals of Valor, but he's also facing a bunch of police brutality raps too. Kim probably rolled with Dre back in the day, an ex-gang member straight outta Compton who put in the hours and grafted her way through college, law school, Marines training and now takes down killers for the FBI. Eddie is a Hispanic LA native with a flair for the explosive and a hunger for the craps tables; a former Marine, he now runs down traffickers with the DEA.

You probably wouldn't want to mess with any of them. The game's out on PC, PS3 and X360 on July 19th.

Call of Juarez: The Cartel

We got to grips with a bit of The Cartel's action back at E3, and found it to be a solid shooter with some interesting mechanics. With an emphasis on 'co-opetition', The Cartel is a three-way multiplayer bulletfest, which sees you having to keep an eye on the activities of your partners at the same time as watching their backs.

This new trailer showcases some seven minutes of new gameplay footage.
