Capcom Confirms May Release Date For Dragon's Dogma

Capcom announced today that upcoming sword-and-shield action-RPG Dragon's Dogma will be releasing in the UK on May 25th, with the US getting the game three days early on May 22nd.

But, wait, there's more. Every copy of the game will come with a download code for the Resident Evil 6 demo, which should surely help it shift some copies.

That said, if you've got an Xbox 360, it might well be worth picking up that platform's version as you'll be able to get the demo 60 days before anyone else, when the demo unlocks on July 3rd. The PSN version of the demo be available from September 4th in North America and September 5th in Europe ahead of the release date for Resident Evil 6, which is on November 20th.

Capcom also announced a few pre-order incentives for Dragon's Dogma. The ‘Pawn Upgrade Pack’ will give players additional Rift Crystals allowing them to rent higher level experience Pawns from the outset - Pawns being the AI-controlled companions who will gain experience and abilities based upon each player's actions throughout the game. Players will be able to share and trade Pawns with their friends across Xbox LIVE and PSN.

The other pre-order packs -  ‘Armour Upgrade Pack’ and ‘Weapon Upgrade Pack’ - will deliver higher level armour and weapons respectively.
